Designed with user flexibility in mind, the FlexPort Vx PCI can be easily configured for use with two or four serial ports and one parallel port. The Oxford PCI954 UART bridge provides a 128 byte deep FIFO buffer and a fast 1.5 Mbps maximum transfer rate. The importance of this large FIFO buffer is to offload CPU tasks and allow for smooth and error-free operations.
