Procurement Intern

The Procurement Intern is responsible for supporting the ongoing project of improving efficiencies in the IT team in our APAC sites. The intern will focus mainly on the procurement process. Also the intern will work closely with other members of our regional team to purchase equipment, assist vendor onboarding and maintain the contract.

What you’ll do:

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Compile the quotation to identify sources of inefficiency within the department’s focus
  • Use project management techniques to plan and track progress on various regional projects.
  • Assist IT department in the procurement process
  • Assist with projects, programs or services to execute department objectives
  • Other related IT tasks from APAC IT team

Vendor onboarding

  • Finding and compare vendors
  • Prepare documents and work with vendor to complete the onboarding process
  • Submit and process coupa after checking by team member

Equipment procurement

  • Every month for accessory, Every quarter for laptop
  • Take time to gather information from finance team and people ops
  • Gather quotation from vendor and submit coupa order

Inventory monitoring

  • Keep track of the assets
  • Compare with the head count and plan to purchase equipment

Your background:

  • Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor's degree in any disciplines, preferably in a related field
  • Nice to have experience dealing with quotes, contracts, talking to vendors, understanding business requirements
  • Good communication and written skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Good project management skills and sense of urgency in relation to business requirements
  • Detail oriented and able to ensure details are correct
  • Good presentation skills and able to present to team current tasks and status
  • Self-motivated, can work with minimum supervision as well as finding out the solution by yourself
