# FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon)

FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is an Amazon service that lets you store your products in Amazon's fulfillment centers until they are purchased by Amazon customers, after which Amazon packs and ships those products to the customers.

## What is FBA?

FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is an Amazon service that allows you to store your products in Amazon's fulfillment centers (also known as Amazon FBA warehouses) until they're purchased by Amazon customers. Amazon will then pack and ship those products to Amazon customers.

## How does FBA work?

Sellers send inventory to Amazon's fulfillment centers. Amazon stores the products, and when a customer orders, Amazon picks, packs, and ships the item and handles customer service and returns for that order. Products stored in FBA can qualify for Prime shipping.

Amazon charges fees for fulfillment, storage, and some added services, and it sets rules for how sellers label, prep, and ship inventory to its warehouses. Sellers often use a freight forwarder to move bulk inventory from the factory to the right fulfillment center, and each shipment has to match the shipping plan Amazon assigns.
