As Network Trade Lane Specialist, you will be on the front lines of collecting this data, making sure that it’s of the highest quality and working with stakeholders from many teams to escalate issues as necessary. 

Daily tasks include database management, quote fulfillment, light data analysis, issue resolution, and providing a high level of customer support to internal stakeholders. It’s a great way to get to know the Network business from the ground up, since you will handle basic contract pricing fulfillment and manage rate sheets in a timely and accurate fashion. Other tasks include triaging network escalations, carrier contract filing, contract management, and procurement tool usage and maintenance. You will learn the ins and outs of working in a cross-functional team, allowing you to master effective communication, task prioritization, and familiarity Flexport’s technical product. 

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Learn to use professional concepts and gain foundational knowledge about the industry, while applying company policies / procedures to resolve routine issues
• Support up-keep of internal databases and tooling 
• Fulfill dynamic pricing requests 
• Manage internal escalations from Client Solutions to Network Trade Lane Management and action or assign as appropriate
• Manage air carrier contracts & ensure all internal databases (Procurement Database and Marketplace) are updated with accurate and current rates
• Support cross-department team members with projects, both long and short term.

You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years relevant work experience 
• Knowledge of product and technology within the industry
• Experience with regards to imports and/or exports from a sales, operational or procurement perspective. 
• Experience building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with vendors
• Analytical skills and metric / data based approach to solving problems
• Strong analytical background and knowledge of analytical tools (Excel, etc)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
