Code of Conduct

Flexport believes that trade makes the world a better place. We strive to create positive connections between people locally and across the world because it fosters empathy, peace and prosperity. This extends to every aspect of our business, from how we interact with our customers to how we run our offices. The following code of conduct lays out how these values inform another goal: to make our events harassment-free.

Flexport is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form.

Everyone means everyone, regardless of gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion or lack of religion.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion or lack of religion. Deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography/recording, sustained disruption of talks, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention are also considered harassment.

If someone asks you to stop harassing behavior, it means you need to stop immediately. If you witness someone asking to stop harassment, please speak up and support them. Working together we can have an event where everyone is comfortable and has fun.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, talk to an event host. They will be happy to help participants resolve the situation, provide escorts, or contact local law enforcement if requested. The priority of the event host will be to assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event.

If you aren't able to raise your concerns immediately, you should feel free to reach out after the event. The hosts will always have their contact information listed, and if you prefer to remain anonymous please use this form.
