Prior to starting Flexport to fix the user experience in global trade, Ryan was co-founder and CEO of ImportGenius.com, a data-as-a-service business for global shipping. He holds a degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Columbia University.
Chief Operating Officer
Sanne leads operations, procurement, and carrier relations. Before Flexport, he was at BCG, leading customer relations in its logistics and supply chain practice. He holds an MBA from Columbia University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University.
Chief Technology Officer
James Chen is responsible for driving Flexport’s product vision and technology strategy. He was most recently a Director of Technology at Amazon, and prior was a CTO at both Jenzabar and Rakuten. James holds a BS degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT.
Chief Customer Officer
Ben spearheads our customer engagement model and industry leading customer experience. In leadership roles before Flexport, Ben helped drive two high-growth companies to successful acquisitions: URX (acquired by Pinterest) and Heyzap (acquired by Fyber).
Chief Revenue Officer
As Chief Revenue Officer Will is responsible for Flexport’s geographies, operational execution and driving our go-to-market strategy. In short, he’s responsible for maximizing the value Flexport delivers to clients. Will most recently served as Regional Vice President, Northwest USA at Expeditors where he spent 25 years building his logistics career.
Chief Financial Officer
Kenny manages Flexport’s financial strategy. He previously served as Head of Finance for Amazon Worldwide Transportation and Logistics and held executive and leadership positions at Fleetpride, XPO Logistics, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and UPS. He holds a BA, Accounting & Finance and an MBA, Finance from Georgia State University.
Chief Legal Officer
Chris runs Flexport’s legal, compliance, and customs functions. He’s held similar roles at Xoom and PayPal/ebay, where he was the second lawyer hired. Prior, he practiced law at two firms in New York City. He earned his BA from Stanford University and his JD from Georgetown.
Chief Impact Officer
Jenn ensures congruence between Flexport’s brand, culture and community. Prior to Flexport, Jenn was Dollar Shave Club’s first Chief People Officer and held leadership roles at Coca-Cola, Motorola and Best Buy. Jenn holds a BA, Psychology from Texas Lutheran University and a MA, Higher Education Administration from University of Minnesota.
Chief of Staff to CEO
Javier works alongside Flexport’s CEO and executive team to manage the company’s strategic initiatives. Prior, Javier spent time at Instacart as Head of Finance, and PwC, where he helped public clients like Yahoo and Twitter with build operational efficiency. Javier holds a BBA from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and Universitè Nice Sophia Antipolis.
EVP, Global Head of Airfreight
A widely recognized leader in the global logistics industry, Neel was formerly SVP/Chief Cargo Officer at Delta Airlines and VP Sales/Marketing at United Airlines. He sits on the board of TIACA, Amerijet International and holds an MBA from Columbia University.
VP, Ocean
Nerijus joined Flexport after six years at Kuehne + Nagel, where he built a national pricing function serving the company’s US offices, as well as procured ocean freight on the Transpacific and ISC trade lanes. He holds multiple degrees, including from ISM University of Management and Economics.
VP, Global Head of Ocean
Anders is responsible for Flexport’s global ocean services. Prior, he led the company’s West Coast region, its fastest-growing. Anders came to Flexport from Maersk, where he spent 10 years in various senior roles within trade management, pricing and operations. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business school.
Global Head of Network Operations & Procurement
Mariken is building Flexport’s global network after leading transformation processes in Asia and Europe with TNT, Randstadt, and Berenschot, where she founded its change management advisory group. She holds a master’s degree in Psychology and Law from Leiden University.
VP, Global Customs
With 20+ years experience, Tom Gould leads Flexport’s Global Customs brokerage. Before Flexport, he was Sr. Director, Customs and International Trade for Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A. He is a member of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Trade Support Network, and served on the board of the Foreign Trade Association.
VP, Trade and Financial Services
With 15+ years experience building and scaling businesses, Christian leads Flexport's Trade and Financial Services. Before Flexport, he was a VC-backed CEO at Shipster, an on-demand shipping company that built the fastest global parcel shipping service in the industry. Christian is also an active startup investor, and a former technology investment banker at J.P. Morgan. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
VP, Global Key Accounts
Julie leads Flexport’s Global Key Account Segment, which builds solutions for some of the world’s largest and most complex Supply Chains. Prior to Flexport, Julie worked in China for eight years managing partnerships with key global brands at MeadWestvaco (now WestRock). She holds MBAs from Columbia University, London Business School, and the University of Hong Kong.
Head of Flexport.org
Susy is the founder and head of Flexport.org, Flexport’s sustainability and social good initiative that works with nonprofits who need to ship goods to areas of needs, companies who have excess goods to donate, and companies looking to cut carbon emissions from their shipping. Susy holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a B.S. in Economist from Humboldt University of Berlin.
SVP, North America
Stuart Leung is leading Flexport’s North American growth. Prior he led finance and operations for Reformation and Vaunte, and held analyst roles at Alcentra and Lehman Brothers. Stuart holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
VP, EMEA
Jan is responsible for expanding Flexport’s global reach and European presence. Prior, Jan was a Project Leader with Boston Consulting Group, supporting clients in logistics, transportation, and energy. He earned his MBA from INSEAD in Singapore and has an MSc in Information Science from Tilburg University in Holland.
VP, Asia
Douglas oversees Flexport’s business strategy and growth, operations, and sales in the Greater China Region. He spent his entire career working with world-leading logistics companies including Maersk and Panalpina World Transport. Doug holds a Masters Degree in International Trade Law from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK.
MD, Asia
As a founding member of Flexport team in Asia, Henry is instrumental in growing the company’s presence in the local market. He’s held several senior leadership roles at multinational logistics companies including DHL and SF Express. Henry earned a BBA (Hons) in Quantitative Analysis for Business, an EMBA and a Juris Doctor from the City University of Hong Kong.
VP, Product Management
Yuko leads the product roadmap and execution at Flexport, where our platform services over 10,000 clients and partners. Before Flexport, Yuko led a product management team at Rakuten across various initiatives, from building a global platform for marketplace business to developing its ecosystem product strategy. She also led product and operational initiatives at Etsy, GREE International, and Yahoo!. Yuko holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Chief Information Security Officer
Now CISO at Flexport, Kevin was previously CISO at MuleSoft and has held leadership roles at Salesforce, xMatters, the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. Kevin holds an M.S. in Computers and Information Systems from Boston University and a B.S. in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix.
VP, Global Communications
Eva leads global internal and external communications at Flexport. Prior to Flexport, Eva was a 15-year veteran at Edelman, the world's largest communications agency, where she was most recently EVP & Group Director for Corporate Affairs. She started her career at Philips in the Netherlands.
